The South Shropshire Poker Club
meets on the 1st Friday of every month at
The Cock Inn,
Hanwood,
Shrewsbury,
Shropshire.

On the first Friday of every month, the club meets up and holds a £13 tournament (plus £15 league subscription) with the top 10% being paid in cash.
Points are awarded to each player relating to their finishing position
1st - 15 points 2nd 12 points
3rd 10 points 4th 8 points
5th 6 points 6th 5 points
7th 4 points 8th 3 points
9th 2 points 10th 1 point
At the end of the season, the money collected from the monthly £15 league subscriptions is divided up and awarded to the players with the most points in the form of seats in bigger tournaments.
The number of winners depends on the number of members.

An example might be.(Based on 20 members)
Money collected:- 20 members paying £15 per month =£300 x 6 months = £1980 total
League winner receives a Poker Stars UKIPT seat worth £550 plus any £100 + £10 event of their choice
2nd place receives a Poker Stars UKIPT seat worth £550
3rd place receives a Poker Stars UKIPT side event buy in worth £330
4th & 5th place receive a GUKPT side event worth £220 each
Total payout in seats = £1980

Any money won in these tournaments is then split 50/50 (less the buy-in) between the player and the club members.
e.g. A player in a £200+20 event wins £3000. £220 is retained by the player (he won it after all) and the remainder is divided in half. (£3000 - £220 leaves £2780, divided by 2 is £1390 for the player and £1390 for the club) The £1390 for the club is then shared amongst the members according to their league contributions.
EVERYBODY WINS.

We will also hold satellite tournaments to events such as The GUKPT, UKIPT, WSOP, Irish Open etc
